Choose to decide the process
Think of 7Days as an app that shows you the way. Your starting point is A, needing to be B. On the way to move if you choose to turn left, your way to B will be a little different, then continue to turn right, the road to continue after that is a little different. Keep doing this until you complete your path.
That is, the same destination, many different turns, and each decision at each milestone will change little or all of the course that follows. Interlaced results will lead you to the character’s final outcome. You are the one making the decisions, and it is you who will bear the consequences or reap the results of your choices. The principle of playing in 7Days is like that.
But the story doesn’t stop there.
Relationships also play a big role
Each time you make a choice, your relationship with the spirits around you will change. Then when the next choice is made, the other characters will react to this choice in the same way that the relationship with you was previously established. Thus there are two variables: one is the options, the other is the nature of the relationship. Together, the two will influence your next move and your path to your destination.
7Days is completely open to any selection. You can choose to be the innocent or the sinister, the final boss of the whole thing, or to be a trustworthy person who always leads and helps those around you. You can also choose to be a normal person, following the crowd and just taking advantage of other people’s loopholes to help you stand out in the game. Even if you play the game again, making other choices to witness a different ending for the character is a pretty good way to enjoy the game.
A true work of art
With only 2D images, dark background, mostly text and images, 7Days has created a remarkable graphic work. The image is quite creepy but not the gory type. You only feel the darkness of this world and the cruelty emanating from the task you have been assigned.
Each character has their own unique appearance, which in my opinion is quite dreary (probably because it is only the soul). But your soulless eyes still show emotions when you make decisions that affect their interests or change their way of thinking about you.
Plus the music is a bit haunted. It is a combination that seems peaceful but causes turbulence in the heart.
